Guest Speaker-Andrea Koch of the Alzheimer's Association
Our speaker will review the basics of Alzheimer's disease and dementia. She will share situations that might arise in a museum setting and tips to avoid or respond to these scenarios that protect the visitor's dignity. This will include an interactive exercise intended to help participants understand what it might feel like to live with cognitive impairment. We will also discuss local Memory Cafes that offer meaningful activities for people living with dementia and their loved ones.
