October 27, 4:30-6:00 PM Workshop with Amir ElSaffar and Lorenzo Bianchi-Hoesch

Join the artists for a hands-on exploration of jazz improvisation, Arabic maqam, and cross-cultural music-making.  Musicians are welcome to bring an instrument, but anyone can participate or observe.

Participation is free.

  • 4 pm Guided nature walk with Executive and Artistic Director Elena Siyanko and Coordinator of Community Engagement Matthew Gold.  Explore the trails and woodlands, the spectacular views, and the natural wonders of PS21's idyllic grounds.

PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century

PS21 has two unique venues in one stunning building on a bucolic setting just one mile outside the Village of Chatham: a traditional stage with open air seating protected by a sweeping pavilion roof as well as an enclosed black box theater.  Equipped with state-of-the-art theatrical equipment, PS21 is able to accommodate a wide range of works by today's most brilliant artists in dance, theater and music.
