Every fall and spring migratory birds travel thousands of miles between their summer and winter ranges. Along the way they encounter many challenges; from collisions with windows, habitat loss, invasive species and more. This event is designed to celebrate the birds that we associate with the changing seasons, and bring awareness to how our actions impact them. We will have educational and craft opportunities available in the Visitor and Education Center geared towards children and their families.
More avid birders should check out our Birdathon activity, as a means to celebrate this day in another way!

Viles Arboretum is a free, easily accessible, botanical garden that is open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. The space include six miles of trails, 20 botanical collections, and local stone art works (all marked and signed), on 224 acres.
