Looking for a way to support WWNO while having some fun? Join WWNO for an inaugural benefit concert in celebration of Public Radio Music Day on Wednesday, October 29th from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Broadside! Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to boogie! Event will feature music by Stanton Moore featuring Joe Ashlar, Danny Abel and Brad Walker, and Big Sam’s Funky Nation. Additionally, there will be some appearances by WWNO hosts and staff. 

“With the recent loss of federal funding, WWNO is now a public radio station that is 100% community supported,” said General Manager Paul Maassen in the announcement about the concert. “We hope everyone will join us as we chart a new course of financial independence – put on your dancing shoes, bring the kids, and get ready to connect with your fellow public radio lovers!”

  • The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time unless otherwise listed.
  • We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed
  •  Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed. 
  • Our outdoor space has a variety of seating options such as benches, picnic tables, chairs, and stools. If you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
