Fostering a New Renaissance


The church has been losing the battle of ideas in the West. It no longer captures the hearts, minds, and imaginations of our society. We speak mainly to ourselves rather than to the world, and what we do say often lacks the depth for which people are crying out. 

What if we set for ourselves the task of fostering a new Renaissance of Christian scholarship and culture? Of modeling an outward-facing engagement with the thinking and art of our time? As followers of Jesus, how can we speak in a way that demonstrates the sanity and humanity of Christ's way of being human, and encourage a more compassionate, cohesive, and creative society?

We invite you to join us in the thought-provoking city of Oxford to explore with us how we can be part of such a Renaissance.

 

Registration Information

Included in the delegate fee are:

  • Admission/tuition to all morning sessions, four afternoon excursions/admission fees to historic sites and cultural attractions, Sunday evening welcome party and Thursday gala banquet.
     
  • A total of seven meals (five lunches and dinner on Sunday and Thursday) and refreshments during the event.

Not included are accommodations, other meals, and air transportation. There is reasonably-priced en suite lodging at Wycliffe Hall as well as other options nearby from simple to deluxe. 

​The non-delegate fee is for those traveling with the main delegate not wishing to attend the morning sessions. The fee includes the four afternoon excursions/admission fees, Sunday evening welcome party, and Thursday gala banquet. 

For those booking now, payment is partially refundable through Sunday, April 16.  

$395 of each ticket is not refundable under any circumstances.

Wycliffe Hall became a Permanent Private Hall in 1996 within the University of Oxford in recognition of its established reputation as a centre of high-quality education.

As a result, Wycliffe is an integral part of the University and all our students are enrolled on a wide variety of University degrees and courses. Importantly, however, Wycliffe retains its independence, being governed by an independent Council whose members must sign the Hall’s Trust Deed. This deed safeguards the Hall’s evangelical commitment to biblical theology and Christian mission.

This combination – being an integral part of the University yet also independent – gives Wycliffe Hall its distinctive status. We are a community that is committed to the historical Christian faith, while also being a constituent part of one of the world’s leading universities. This unique combination gives us a unique calling, to be advocates of the Christian faith within contemporary University-level debates and to equip the Christian leaders of the future by engaging students in rigorous theological study at the highest possible academic level.
