"Classics by Moonlight" - Join the Yuma Civic Orchestra on Saturday, November 5th for it's "Classics by Moonlight" Concert and “Experience it Live!” as they present music under the full moon at the AWC Amphitheater. As the name aptly describes, it is set out in the open field under the bright full moon of a Yuma autumn’s night. Started in 2001 to introduce light classical music to the people of our community, it has captivated a wide variety of audiences, young and old, as pieces are carefully selected to touch the hearts of the audience. Feel free to bring your own chairs and a blanket to enjoy the full outdoor concert experience. We will have chairs set up as well for your convenience. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. but we encourage people to come early and enjoy a special dinner menu prepared just for us by the AWC Culinary Department, dinner, dessert, drink options, and choices for children will be available as well. We also encourage you to arrive at 5:30 to enjoy your meal before the concert.
"Spirit of Christmas" - Make this very special concert a family tradition as you “Experience it Live” with a beautiful selection of Christmas music played for you by our own Yuma Civic Orchestra. There are many different ideas about what the Spirit of Christmas is and perhaps that phrase makes your mind immediately travel to the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the Spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. Wherever your mind travels, be sure to know that this concert is an annual Christmas favorite so prepare your heart and mind for the real reason for the season and the greatest gift of all.
"Romantic Classics" - Whether you are looking for a night of fun music or a romantic treat for your favorite love, we have just the concert for your special day. Join the Yuma Civic Orchestra as we play a collection of romantically themed music for an evening you won't want to miss.
"Orchestral Classics" - "Join the Yuma Civic Orchestra and String Ambassadors for its final concert of the season. Our musicians are looking forward to bringing Yumans an orchestral classics concert where our community can experience the power and imagery that the music brings. This concert is dedicated specifically to those in our community and surrounding areas who love classical music and who support us all year round.
