Description
Body Bamboo: Floor Foundations
Saturday, August 8, 12pm-2pm
A workshop exploring tying with bamboo on the floor.
(Note that Part 2: Body Bamboo: Sticky Situations (Partial Suspensions) runs later in the day from 2:30–5pm)
Description: this beginner-friendly floor rope class, participants will learn how to safely attach bamboo to the body in a variety of positions. We'll cover several methods of incorporating bamboo directly onto the body, as well as attaching bamboo to harnesses for additional support. Throughout the workshop, we'll explore how bamboo can increase restriction and limit movement while remaining entirely floor-based.
This class can be adapted for self-tiers.

Partners being tied should be comfortable communicating about their experience before, during, and after a scene.
Both partners should have a working understanding of rope safety, including nerve injury prevention, emotional awareness, and safe rope placement.
Required Materials:
3–4 hanks of rope, cutting tool. Bamboo will be provided by the studio (or bring your own if you choose)
