Description
A Rope Jam with Sassy Masochist!
Saturday, November 14, 2026, 8pm-11:59pm
Join us for an evening of rope play at Coil & Cord Studio, with special guest Sassy Masochist @sassy_masochist, a visiting shibari presenter from Boston who's in NYC this week to share some of her vast rope knowledge and sadomasochistic creativity!
This post-workshop afterparty follows the Bodies in Motion and Improvising Structures for Suspension workshops, but the Rope Jam is open to anyone - not only workshop attendees!
Floor rope, suspension & partial suspension, and hashira ties/suspension are welcome!
Rope jams at Coil & Cord are a space to practice and play with rope bondage/shibari, get inspired by diverse rope styles and approaches, meet other rope enthusiasts, tie and/or be tied!
All levels of rope experience are warmly welcome! This is not an educational event, so some basic rope experience is highly encouraged. Attendees are to play within their skill/experience level and are also welcome to just observe and hang out.
Coil & Cord Studio has numerous hard points (including bamboo, single points, & vertical posts) available for suspension, plus plenty of cozy mats for floor tying.
Attend the jam solo, or with a tying partner--or several! We welcome solo attendees and encourage making connections at the jam.
What to Bring: rope kit, or just yourself! Rope is also available for sale.
Coil & Cord Studio warmly welcomes Sassy Masochist as a special guest instructor visiting from Boston. Check out Sassy's other classes:
