How A Popular Georgia Resort Took Their Sales ToThe Next Level with SimpleTix
A few years ago, we began working with Lanier Islands, one of the most visited lakeside destinations in Georgia, to help them drive more visitors and improve cash flow for their 1500-acre resort on Lake Lanier. Lanier Islands had a few problems with their event ticketing software and they asked the SimpleTix team to help.
When we first started working with Lanier Islands, they were using EventBrite for their live ticketing system. But this system didn’t offer them the customization flexibility that they needed for their ticketing. Their cash flow was limited by a system that didn’t allow them to immediately receive revenue from ticket sales. Additionally, there was an average $10 fee per ticket. This hindrance made it difficult to cover operating costs for live events and significantly decreased their profits.

Another challenge for Lanier Islands was that when they were using EventBrite for their ticketing software, they were unable to control their customers’ experience with their brand because EventBrite would add all of their customers to its mailing list. This meant that Lanier Islands’ customers would start receiving unwanted emails from EventBrite, sometimes even advertising competitors of Lanier Islands!
