Frequently asked questions

Q1How much does SimpleTix cost?
A 79¢ + 2% platform fee per paid ticket, capped at $9.99. Tickets $5 and under are a flat 25¢, and on-site tickets are 25¢ each. Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits pay 71¢ + 2%, also capped at $9.99, on request with proof of status. Payment processing is separate and billed by the processor you connect. No setup fees, no monthly fees, no contracts.
Q2Does FareHarbor really not publish a price?
Not one we could find. Their provider terms define a Booking Fee charged to the booker and, as an alternative, a Commission charged to you — described as “a percentage (to be communicated separately by FareHarbor to Provider).” A Processing Fee is also defined. None carries a number. Their Help Center requires a login, and no pricing, plans or fees page appears in their public sitemap.
Q3Why does that matter if the fee lands on the booker?
Because the model decides who pays. Their terms say a provider “may request” the Commission Model, and under it “FareHarbor shall not charge a Booking Fee to Bookers” — the cost moves onto you instead, as a percentage communicated separately by FareHarbor.
Q4How do I switch?
Switching is self-serve: create a free account, build your next event, and point your website and social links at the new page.

Sources, methodology and substantiation

All FareHarbor information here is quoted from FareHarbor’s own published legal documents accessed November 4, 2026 — principally its Terms of Service for Providers, including Annex 1, and its API Fee Terms. The Booking Fee, Commission, Processing Fee and staff-mode fee are all defined there; the wording quoted for each is verbatim. FareHarbor’s payments terms name Stripe, Adyen and PayPal.

Our statement that FareHarbor does not publish a rate card is a statement about what is publicly available, not a claim about what FareHarbor charges. It reflects three checks on the access date: no pricing, plans, fees, cost or rate page appears among the 103 URLs in FareHarbor’s own page sitemap; the Help Center articles covering fees return “You must be signed in to see this page”; and the API Fee Terms document states the obligation to pay API Fees without stating a rate. FareHarbor providers will have received their own rates directly. SimpleTix fees shown are platform fees; free GA and Flex Pass tickets are free, and reserved-seating free tickets and comps cost 25¢ each.
