Before you sell anything

SimpleTix: $0. No setup fee, no monthly fee, no minimum. Build your own seat map.
ThunderTix: “Our team builds every chart for you. A one-time setup fee of $0.55 per seat applies (minimum $250).” Plus $25/month. On 300 seats: $275 up front.

Nonprofits pay 40¢ per seat, $175 minimum. Still not zero.

A $20 reserved seat

SimpleTix: 79¢ + 2% = $1.19 platform fee.
ThunderTix: $1.25 per ticket, and no percentage of ticket sales.

Less on a $20 ticket too, with no monthly fee on top. Above about $23 a ticket, ThunderTix’s per-ticket fee is the lower one, before its monthly fee.

ThunderTix rates as published November 4, 2026: Reserved Seating “$1.25 / ticket + 0% of ticket sales / $25/mo includes first 20 tickets”; chart setup 55¢ per seat, minimum $250, and, per its FAQ, 40¢ per seat, minimum $175, for nonprofits. White Glove: $1.95 per ticket and $195/month, including the seating chart and account setup. ThunderTix charges 2% on donations by card, gift cards, merchandise and memberships. Both per-ticket figures exclude card processing; the two per-ticket fees are equal at a $23 ticket. Full methodology in the sources note below.

All ThunderTix information here comes from official ThunderTix pages accessed November 4, 2026 — its online ticketing software pricing page and its FAQ. The Reserved Seating rate, the $25 monthly fee and the 55¢ per seat chart setup with its $250 minimum are quoted from the pricing page; the nonprofit setup of 40¢ per seat with a $175 minimum is quoted from the FAQ, while the pricing page says only “Nonprofit discounts available.” Figures are for the Reserved Seating plan. ThunderTix’s White Glove plan ($1.95 per ticket, $195/month) includes a free seating chart and account setup, and its K12 Schools plan has no monthly fee. ThunderTix takes no percentage of ticket sales on these plans, but charges 2% on donations by card, gift cards, merchandise and memberships. Canadian pricing is published separately and differs.

Worked examples compare per-ticket platform fees only; neither column includes card processing. SimpleTix fees shown are platform fees; free GA and Flex Pass tickets are free, and reserved-seating free tickets and comps cost 25¢ each.
