Frequently asked questions

Q1How much does SimpleTix cost?
A 79¢ + 2% platform fee per paid ticket, capped at $9.99. Tickets $5 and under are a flat 25¢, and on-site tickets are 25¢ each. Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits pay 71¢ + 2%, also capped at $9.99, on request with proof of status. Payment processing is separate and billed by the processor you connect. No setup fees, no monthly fees, no contracts.
Q2Is ShowClix now Leap?
Leap Event Technology announced the rebranding of ShowClix and Ticketbooth, stating that “the core products, features, and functionality remain unchanged.” ShowClix’s ticketing is now described on Leap’s site, leapevent.tech, which does not publish a rate card.
Q3What does the exclusive contract mean?
Their event ticketing page states that organizers using the platform “need to enter into an exclusive contract for their ticket sales.” The page does not set out what the exclusivity covers or for how long, so for anyone wanting to test a platform on one show, or keep a second channel open, it is the clause to read first.
Q4How do I switch?
Switching is self-serve: create a free account, build your next event, and point your website and social links at the new page. Check your existing agreement’s term and exclusivity clause before you plan the changeover.

Sources, methodology and substantiation

All ShowClix and Leap Event Technology information here is quoted from Leap’s own published pages accessed November 4, 2026 — its event ticketing solutions page, its General Terms and Conditions, and its rebrand announcement. The per-ticket fee wording, the Schedule C reference, the exclusivity requirement and the 10,000-tickets-per-year positioning are all verbatim from those sources.

Our statement that no rate card is published is a statement about what is publicly available, not a claim about what Leap charges its clients. It reflects three checks on the access date: leapevent.tech/pricing returns HTTP 404; the 218 URLs across both of Leap’s page sitemaps contain no pricing, cost, fee, rate or plan path; and the General Terms and Conditions state no per-ticket or service fee. Existing Leap clients will have their own negotiated rates. SimpleTix fees shown are platform fees; free GA and Flex Pass tickets are free, and reserved-seating free tickets and comps cost 25¢ each.
